A few weeks ago Alex, Molly and I went to a place downtown called “Seven Cups of Tea” for a tea tasting. The hostess was an adorable Chinese woman holding a tall glass of soaking brown tea buds. We sat around a glossy tree stump table on tree stump chairs and sipped two kinds of tea, one white and one green. They both were quite good, although expensive, so I bought a small package of one of their most interesting looking teas. This tea is called ‘Eight Treasures’ and although I’m not quite sure of what all of the treasures are, I enjoyed a cup this morning.
Don’t be lead into the temptation of micro-waving the water for your tea. Your tea will stay warmer much longer if you use a kettle. And if you want to save on energy avoid the stovetop and use an electric kettle that plugs in!
